My doula services are tailored to the individual needs and desires of each family. I believe a doula is an asset in any type of birth, be it at a hospital, birthing center or in-home. I will support you in whatever birth plan is right for you, whether it’s natural, medicated or anything in between. Together we can determine what will best serve you and your family in supporting your emotional well-being and nurturing positive birth memories. And once your baby is in your arms, my hope is that regardless of your journey, your birth story is an empowering one.

I am currently working in a doula partnership with Sarah Mills to best serve your family.

As a general guideline my services include:

• 1 Consultation (free of charge) a brief meeting so we can meet face-to-face, discuss your desires for your birth and determine if we’re a good fit. It is essential to chose a doula who makes you feel completely comfortable.

• 2 Pre-Natal appointments 1-2 hours each at your home, where we discuss your birth in detail, form a birth plan and spend time practicing some of the relaxation and pain-management techniques you might want to use in labor.

• 4 weeks of on-call availability I will be available at any time 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your due date.

• Continual labor support Once labor is established, I will join you at your home or birthplace. I will offer you continual physical and emotional support, and remain with you approximately 1-2 hours after your baby is born.  If you would like, I can also assist you with breastfeeding during this time.

• 1 Postpartum appointment Approximately 1 hour, 1-2 weeks after the birth.

• Unlimited phone and email support throughout pregnancy and for two weeks postpartum.

• Photography I would also welcome the opportunity to professionally document your birth story. If hired as your doula, that will of course be my primary role. However, there are moments during labor, birth and the first hours of your baby’s life that I can unobtrusively document, allowing you and your partner to fully participate in the moment. The rate for my doula + photography services is $2400, and includes edited birth photography images in black & white and color. I am also offering my doula clients a discounted photography rates for belly and newborn photography at $300 a session.
